There are four ways that you can send a message on HER: 

1 - To a Friend 

2 - To a Match 

3 - To a person who has engaged with your post on the feed or on an event 

4 - Directly from a profile.

You can view your Friends from the Friends tab on your profile, and you can send someone a friend request by selecting 'Add Friend' on their profile 

You can view who has liked you in the Notifications section of the app and you can Like them back by either viewing their profile and selecting the Like button, or hitting the Like button directly from your notifications. This will create a Match and you can message the person from your Inbox. 

You can also click the arrow at the bottom of a profile to expand it and scroll to the bottom to see a 'Message' button that allows you to start a conversation with a user. 

If you ever receive a message from a user that makes you feel unsafe or that you believe is spam we strongly urge you to report them and/or block them if you do not wish to see or be seen by them.
